thewonderingsorceress:

She knew better than to touch, this was someone else’s meal. Demon’s were very possessive of their meals, especially when they go through such lengths to obtain souls through a contract. That was why she did not bother with such matters a contracts unless she was truly bored, but that did not mean she wasn’t occasionally intrigued by a certain soul. Sooner or later she would probably have to deal with the demon attached to this child, but for now she didn’t nee to worry.

She couldn’t help but chuckle darkly at the boys answer, as her eyes flared a bright red. He had some backbone, rather than be offended at his attempt at a dismissal she admired the boys attempt. “It doesn’t surprise me that others have come to see you, I haven’t heard such a buzz about a soul in quite some time. Do not worry though, I have no intention of trying to steal another’s meal .” After all, that’s all humans were to demons, and she was sure he knew that, but she wondered how he would respond to being called such, she hoped he wouldn’t disappoint her.

She circled back to face him fully, “And if I do mind? What’s your rush, you wouldn’t be trying to run away would you? Or is there some trivial human matter that you must attend to, Mr. Guard Dog?”

He truly enjoyed games of mind, but he wasn’t there to
persuade someone or put sense into some ancient
demon’s head even if there was a need. But wouldn’t
it look funny if he’d tried? To him — obviously. And
sometimes demons played with their ‘food’ even more
than simple kids at the dinner table. Ridiculous, isn’t it?

In the end Ciel left that all up to Sebastian. Their debates
were the only debates the young earl wouldn’t let himself
so frankly ignore. The reason of such circumstance was
not that hard to comprehend, yet more tricky to explain:
they had a bond unlike others, they were constantly getting
ahead of each other. It wasn’t even a game anymore, but
the way of living. They had one direction even though their
goals were not the same.

But, honestly, Ciel didn’t care about jiggery-pokery between
demons and who else. He had no time for that, he had his
own business and obligations.

❝ —  I’m not flattered by such agiotage.

The boy replied dourly and obstinately continued his way.
But the demoness stopped him again and blocked his
path. Ciel furrowed his eyebrows, gazing right into her
glaring scarlet eyes. He wasn’t afraid. And as she spoke
to him he shook his head slightly not looking away.

❝ Everything is trivial to you
        in comparison to human souls,
isn’t it?

If you had enough of rumors about me then
you must know that I don’t like to waste my time.

And more than that I don’t like to entertain anybody.

I had to go through hell to prove I'm not insane

❝ I'm bigger than my body
I'm colder than this home
I'm meaner than my demons
I'm bigger than these bones ❞

Had to meet the devil just to know his name
