See, I wasn’t too sure about his soul either, just because he returned does that mean that his whole soul returned? Or, and the translations I saw might be off the mark, but when Hanna is telling Sebastian the truth- she says when he returns to his body, not necessarily his soul , not to say that doesn’t mean it didn’t come back, but how much did? And don’t you think, eventually it would dissipate or fade away at least some over time? But his personality seemed to change rather quickly, not to say he’s done changing personality wise- but his color in clothes changed, the way he reacted to certain things, how he danced with Lizzie, that type of thing. He may go back to a mentality of being human, but he still has that darkness inside him, and I think eventually that would fade away.
Also, it kinds seemed in the show, he recognizes what happened to him and in a way shape him, but he doesn’t spend a lot of emotional time dwelling on what happen and I have to wonder if he really processed what happened. Like he had these freak-outs when directly confronted with his time in the cellar. But I don’t think he fully emotionally confronted that issue, or anything else he had done. IT’s like he pushed it away, and he thought he could keep doing it because soon he’d be dead. Now he has to face that, all his decisions, and adjust to being a demon. When they later show Ciel in that cellar, he seemed to have summoned Sebastian almost accidentally, he just had a sever lack of faith in God and a desperation that had him calling help for anyone. In book of circus, you see a younger Ciel, he never had to deal with any of these things. Then all the sudden his parents are found dead and sewn together, the mansion is on fire and the next thing he knows he’s being tortured. You see his desperation, but also his innocence when he’s in that cage. You can see his change when he makes that pact, him hardening himself and devoting himself to catching whoever did this.
I suppose it’s not just about the consciousness. It’s about Ciel’s soul anyway, because Ciel’s soul it remained. Alois’ soul broke away in the end, when they were both in one condition. So Ciel’s soul did remain in its body anyway. I don’t think it has disappeared somewhere or will fade away. I do believe it will remain, as pure as it was. I think this is what makes Ciel unique among other demons and exactly this difference may play a big role in his further establishment as a demon. Because, as I’ve said, big changes need a lot of time.
Also, I don’t think Ciel has really changed in his personality right after he turned into a demon. If you would look at him through all the story - he has different sides of his personality and they may change quite sharply. Ciel, even in his human state, he has a certain dark part, something diabolic inside of himself. Even when he was a small kid and his parents were alive - he could show swift changes in his character, he could become cold and strict, may be even fierce. The controversy between his light part and dark part, as I see it, only became stronger after the tragedy he’s survived. Ciel’s character is just complicated. He does change, but slightly not in the same way as other people do.
Ciel always had some darkness inside of himself. And it’s power only grew gradually. I guess, when he became a demon, this darkness hadn’t truly corrupted him. It just bloomed, like a beautiful black rose. It became true, potent and refined. In the end, it seems more natural for Ciel. It looks like a certain development of his character.
Well… as for how fast he became adjusted to his new state. I suppose Ciel is pretty adaptive, notwithstanding the fact of his being raised in a rich family or him having not a really good health. It’s pretty true, because when he at first met Sebastian - he wasn’t showing any problems with giving him his very first orders. As soon as Sebastian released him - Ciel started to command. This is why I guess it depends on the situation itself, because Ciel’s perception of such terrific things can be different. What is true - Ciel has real difficulties and real problems when the situation affects his mental condition. I do think Ciel is not really sane. He has mental problems, he’s not like any common person and his problems are hidden. They come out when he’s on the verge, when the situation is itself very extreme.
In the cellar he was pushed through the torture… It was just because Claude wanted to break him, to drive him completely crazy, to push him on the verge and mix his memories with those what belonged to Alois. Alois and Ciel were just like two different kinds of drink that were put into one crazy unstable cocktail. And of course Ciel had his freak-outs because he was broken mentally. Claude tried to remake his consciousness, he wanted to ‘change the settings’ according to his preferences, but Ciel isn’t a machine. He’s alive, just like Alois. What Claude did is just… there’s no such word to describe his monstrous act.
The games with human consciousness aren’t safe. And Claude didn’t just play with Ciel’s mind. He shuttered it and tried to pick up the pieces to create a new picture, more likeable to him, the one that won’t fight him and willingly come to his hands.
Any of the traumas that Ciel has been through were ruthless and hellish. People die after such things. People can’t live after such things even when they survive. But Ciel not only survived - he continued to live and to fight. He returns to these terrible things again and again, facing his worst nightmares. He breaks and gets up again. Every of these tragedies gave a certain change to him, as if it opened some secret lock inside of his mind and released something what Ciel hadn’t known about himself before. All I want to say is that it’s not just about Ciel’s transformation into a demon. It’s about what Ciel actually is. His transformation into a demon is a new stage, but it’s not the end.
I believe that Ciel himself, no matter demon or human, has a certain power. Call it a gift or a curse, but he’s not like the rest. There’s something in his soul, something in the structure of his mind what gives him this ability to change. Some say that he doesn’t change at all. But in fact, he does. It’s not in the way we people do when we just acquire new information, experience or knowledge. Ciel changes inside, the mechanism of his mind breaks to be renewed again into something more wicked and unknown.
As for the change of their relationship, again, I will say that YES they will stay as many-sided as they are. But only these sides of theirs will become more extensive. And quite possible that there will be even more sides than what we have seen them to have before.
But there are two aspects of their relationships that, I guess, will always exist - the one is what they tell to each other and the other is what they truly feel for each other. And for me it’s interesting how these aspects will continue to exist. Will they unfold gradually, which is also quite possible, or will they stay frozen, without a single change.
Well, as I’ve said it before, after becoming a demon, Ciel is very powerful. He might be even more powerful than Sebastian is. And I doubt that Sebastian will really be babysitting him. He will teach him things, of course, they will communicate and stuff, but there won’t be babysitting, really. There will be just something like 'why not’ kind of a privilege, which means they might behave like they did before, like Sebastian might wash Ciel in a bathtub - but it won’t be a necessity anymore, it will be only something up to Ciel’s will and pleasure.
Ciel is NOT Sebastian’s ball and chain. At least not in that degree as people may think. They are tied, yes. But I think that after years of Ciel’s being a demon, they may just walk on different continents and meet only if there will be a need or they will simply be like 'I came for a damn chat with you because I missed you, but it’s a secret’.
And also, I do doubt Sebastian will try to kill Ciel by somebody else’s hands. Not like it’s not a demonic way to behave, but Sebastian is also not that ordinary for a demon. His character has it’s own aspects. I doubt that after everything he and Ciel were been through things will end for them like that. No. The story will not end. At least because they do have those one of a kind feelings for each other in their many-sided relationship.
Also the other reason, as I’ve also said - it’s NOT about Sebastian’s hunger. Sebastian is free to run and play in the fields of catnip as long as Ciel is fine with that. And I think that in 50% or even 70% of that Ciel will be fine, because Ciel is not a little helpless baby anymore. He’s a motherfucking demon. Sebastian will be absolutely fine with taking new contracts or just eating some souls in his spare time. Yes, he’s Ciel’s butler to the end of his days, but it doesn’t mean his position is really that miserable as it seems. It’s really not. It only seems like that because it’s Sebastian’s first reaction to Ciel’s transformation. And it’s totally okay for him to react like that.
Sebastian won’t kill Ciel because he’s hungry. No.
If there’s one proper and interesting question to simply ask ourselves is - what just happens to demons who ruin their contract? I think that it depends, but mostly nothing really terrible happens to the demons.
As for Ciel’s habits. Yes, they both will retain some of their habits. I guess the fact that Ciel has his soul in the form of a demon will affect on that quite well. Not to mention that Sebastian himself may enjoy some of their rituals, because I’m sure he does enjoy, even if a little.
Their daily habits can turn into beautiful traditions as soon as Ciel will feel more confident about his demonic powers. And traditions are meant to be simply cherished. I think Ciel and Sebastian do cherish their bond no matter what they think or say, or do.
What I can say is that contractee can have several contracts with other demons in one and the same time. Alois did so, by the way. He had contracts with both Claude and Hannah. As for demons… I don’t think it’s incredibly strict about them. May be it’s just a matter of their principle. I think they take just one contract and devote themselves to it, but basically it doesn’t mean they can’t go somewhere else and eat the soul of some passer on the street. Contracts are like more sophisticated way of obtaining food. Demons don’t choose contracts always. They do it when they are intrigued or bored. It depends on their nature and characteristics. There are hundreds of different classifications of demons. Sebastian is not the only example.
Sebastian, also, wasn’t truly starving during Ciel’s stay at the manor as a human. And they lived like this for a certain period of time. I think Sebastian did find his food somewhere else, for example when he and Ciel were at some mission and Ciel ordered him to kill. Sebastian could steal souls, devour them, why not? It’s just they weren’t as desired and delicious as Ciel’s soul would be to him. But for the balance of energy it could work just fine, I guess.
Ah, I’ve just been thinking about this all during quite a long period of time. And I think it’s good when you have a chance to speak your ideas or, at least, to write them down. It may come in handy.

Before we'll get to the roleplay business, I must list you important rules, which are valid here. Let's start with another reminder of this blog being Independent (not affiliated with any roleplay group), Private (I roleplay only with people I am interested in roleplaying with) and Selective (I am not aware of all fandoms and all characters on Earth, therefore I interact only with those fandoms and characters that I know for sure, please don't be offended). There are few other things you must remember when you're here:I'm building it with all I know
• I am not open to OC's. There might be exclusions, but in general still, no.• I welcome the novel style of writing. However I can also perform one-liners and paragraphs.
• No Godmodding please.
• Mun is over 18 and really welcomes all dark themes, like violence, gore and ect. Don't be shy.
• Mun speaks russian. English is not my first language.
• With all ships chemistry comes first.
• I consider the canonic plot with twins completely cheap and idiotic, therefore I'm sticking to my own version of Ciel, where he is the only child and has dissociative identity disorder due to his traumatic experiences in the past.
So little time and so much to do
These are the most important moments I wanted to clarify. I hope to make only good acquaintances here. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me via my Askbox.verses

MAIN VERSE.
Young though wise Ciel Phantomhive (13 y.o.) has recently returned to his native abode, which was restored from the ruins to become the heir to his father's thriving business, as well as all the duties, joys and troubles of his family. Giving an oath of loyalty and dedication to his work, the young earl undertakes to do everything possible to regain the justice and punish those who once dared to desecrate his home and defame his family. Enemies must not expect his mercy, because by the side of one devilishly ingenious nobleman there is no less hellishly talented butler.

LE PETIT PRINCE.
A CHILD VERSE. Ciel (7 y.o.) is little and lives in his family's abode along with his parents: Rachel and Vincent Phantomhives. He is a fragile and imaginative creature that is rarely allowed outside due to his poor health. However it doesn't deprive him of curiosity and love towards everything what surrounds him.

DEMONIC ARISTOCRAT.
ALTERNATIVE AU. After Ciel became a demon and Sebastian remained his loyal butler for the whole eternity, Phantomhive ordered him to spread the rumor about the sudden death of his master. In the short bequest he disposed of his family estate and business between his relatives (the Midfords) and his servants (Tanaka, Mey-rin, Finny and Bardroy), and only continued to visit them once in a while in his invisible form.
Ciel possesses the same power of hell as Sebastian, however his personal demonic abilities are strongly connected to the nature and its elements.
