thewonderingsorceress:

I do feel like he will be a different, ,or unique demon even beyond the fact of how he became a demon. But I am not so sure about pure, maybe his humanity is what will let him keep this light in him. I think I am having difficulties seeing him as being pure because to me demon darkness is different then human darkness, almost as if it’s a deeper more internal thing or what and who demons are. More like a black tar that coats their insides if you will- I would see human darkness as a flower that is nurtured. So I can’t see the soul staying totally whole, more like it will be worn but will push through.

This difference what Ciel may acquire can be in many things. It’s about what changes you imply under the word ‘different’. Because i do not think Ciel will ever stop being Ciel. No matter what new knowledge he will get from the world or from Sebastian, no matter how long he will exist, no matter what he’ll face on his way - he is Ciel and his feelings may become more profound, his perceiving of the world may become much more extensive, but I believe he won’t turn into someone completely new. This demonic form is like the ultimate version of Ciel, it isn’t meant to replace his brains or his heart with something different.

And if to speak about his soul, me personally, yes, I do believe his soul stayed pure. It stayed so to me because it actually retained its pristine state even after all that shit what Claude has done. This purity probably means the innocence what Sebastian really likes about Ciel.

The darkness, as I’ve also said before, always was present inside of Ciel. Whether it was in his core or in his soul too - it’s unknown, but it was there all the time. That’s why when he became, like, corrupted by this hellish darkness - to my mind he WASN’T really corrupted by it, he just reached his peak so his own darkness could bloom along with the powers of hell. I think that the darkness what you called eternal, it only enveloped Ciel’s soul as if it helped it to become complete, it gave Ciel’s soul a potent and impermeable cover, a shield. I don’t think his soul just disappeared or became absorbed by that eternal darkness. After all, the darkness couldn’t eat it up. The only one who had a full right to eat it up was Sebastian. So it remained. And it’s purity remained too.  May be another reason for this could be that Ciel didn’t wish for such powers, it was only Alois’ wish, so nobody could get Ciel’s soul at all. Also this purity of his soul is exactly what can work quite good for him, it can help him save his human part, his human origin. It’s like a central secret code in his new demonic operative system, lol.

And I do believe that the souls are themselves the examples of eternal energy. I don’t think they can wear out. They can renew, but never wear out.

And, no, when Ciel was little he wasn’t actually showed as someone who could boss around. He was a sweet little child, who treated everyone like his family. Just remember Tanaka. Ciel called him 'grandpa’, but Tanaka was just a butler in their family manor. Ciel really started to boss around right after he made a pact with Sebastian. And he didn’t look confused about his first orders, this is why I think his darkness showed up then and helped him to become more colder and serious. His darkness was a sort of protective mechanism. Though it’s not the instinct of self-preservation, though. I think it was just a swift shift between the different sides of his personality. Like when you switch the sides of Rubic’s Cube.

Ciel can be capricious and snobbish. But this is not how he treated his family and their servants when he was small.

And that’s exactly one the reasons why I love Kuroshitsuji so much. People are showed as ruthless savages, as monsters. And it’s not an exaggeration, unfortunately. It’s just how the things on Earth are, how they always were.

I think Sebastian WOULD be the one to try to keep Ciel still closer to a human being than to a demonic creature. So I quite agree with the words of yours on this point. In the end, I also think Sebastian is protective over Ciel due to one simple reason - Sebastian raised him too and he may be even did it better than Ciel’s parents. So Sebastian is kinda proud of Ciel and may be he would like Ciel to stay as a human. For which reasons? They all would be small and they all would belong only to Sebastian’s point of view.

Games are still games. For them both. Ciel will revel his new possibilities, because they give him a new stage, a new field of experience. This is very intriguing. And Ciel is smart and curious. So mental games will never be lost.

I, myself, really rarely become very interested about some fandom. But Kuroshitsuji just corrupted my heart, because it’s full of things I always felt a certain deep interest and feeling to. And to discuss this all is a privilege, really. And, yes, I agree, the roleplaying makes this even more entertaining.

I had to go through hell to prove I'm not insane

I'm colder than this home
I'm meaner than my demons
I'm bigger than these bones ❞

Had to meet the devil just to know his name
